Marcus Reid

Since 2005, Marcus Reid has served as Chief Deputy District Attorney for Etowah County, where he supervises all prosecuting attorneys and trial dockets in the Circuit.
He was previously engaged in private practice in the areas of criminal and civil law, as well as domestic matters, wills, and estates. His career began as a juvenile probation
officer for the Calhoun County Juvenile Court. He has taught law and juvenile justice for Jacksonville State University, Talladega College, and multiple professional
associations.
Reid joined the ADAH Board of Trustees in 2020. His other volunteer leadership roles include board membership for the Forever Wild Land Trust, Nature Conservancy of Alabama,
the Anniston-Calhoun County YMCA, the Berman Museum, and the Boys and Girls Club.
Reid earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Jacksonville State University and is a graduate of the Cumberland School of Law.
