Statehood Backpack

Alabama joined the Union as the 22nd state in 1819. Alabama’s State Symbols are selected by Alabama Legislature and reflect the rich diversity of the state. Alabama has 41 official symbols that include both natural and cultural resources. Students will learn about Alabama Statehood and gain an appreciation for the state’s history and diversity through activities and hands-on materials.

Backpacks are available on a first come, first served basis and are loaned out for one week (from Friday to Friday). Teachers are required to pay UPS shipping fees, $10.00 per backpack.
