Flight and Space Backpack

From the Wright Brothers to the Tuskegee Airmen and into outer space, Alabama has been home to many important flight milestones and space-age advancements. Students will learn about Alabama’s role in flight and space history using primary sources, activities, and hands-on materials. Engage your students’ critical thinking skills with the breakout game, Thrusters Offline, which incorporates the use of primary sources. The activities in this backpack offer cross-curricular connections with history and STEM.

Backpacks are available on a first come, first served basis and are loaned out for one week (from Friday to Friday). Teachers are required to pay UPS shipping fees, $10.00 per backpack.
