Bobby M. Junkins

4th Congressional District

Bobby M. Junkins served as the Probate Judge of Etowah County for thirty-one years until his retirement in 2019. He previously was director of the Gadsden Public Library and served two terms in the Alabama House of Representatives.

Junkins joined the ADAH Board of Trustees in 2004. Other institutions where he has provided board service include Alabama State University and Gadsden State Community College. He is a past president of the Alabama Probate Judges Association. Among his many honors are the Governor’s Award for the Arts, the Gadsden Chamber of Commerce’s Key Man Award, and the C.I.T.Y Program Citizen of the Year.

Junkins is a graduate of Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University.
