Horace H. Horn Jr.

Horace H. Horn Jr. is Senior Vice President of External Affairs at PowerSouth Energy, where he has guided government relations, public affairs, and economic
development efforts since 2000. PowerSouth provides electricity through generation and transmission services to twenty member systems in central and south
Alabama and northwest Florida. Prior to joining PowerSouth, Horn served as state director in Alabama of the Farmers Home Administration, now USDA Rural Development,
and was engaged in the poultry and construction industries.
Horn joined the ADAH Board of Trustees in 2009. Some of his numerous other service positions include board membership with the Business Council of Alabama, Tennessee
Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority, Alabama World Trade Association, Alabama Rural Credit Corporation, Southeastern Federal Power Customers, Alabama Wildlife Federation,
and the Alabama World Affairs Council. He currently serves as chairman for the Warrior Tombigbee Waterway Association and is a past chairman for the Alabama State
Port Authority and the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce.
Horn is an alumnus of Troy University and a Charter Life Member of the Auburn University Agricultural Alumni Association. He is a 2005-2006 graduate of Leadership Alabama.
